    What is COSEQUIN® ASU?

COSEQUIN® ASU goes above and beyond the traditional glucosamine/chondroitin sulfate products on the market with the addition of ASU (avocado/soybean unsaponifiables). ASU is obtained from avocados and soybeans. It is a potent ingredient demonstrated to help protect cartilage and support joint function. COSEQUIN® ASU is a multi-synergistic formula. The specific trademarked glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate have demonstrated synergy in stimulating the production of cartilage matrix components, while ASU acts synergistically with both glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate for additional joint support. Further, the combination of glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate plus ASU has been shown in cartilage cell studies to work better than the combination of glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate alone at inhibiting the expression of several agents involved in cartilage breakdown (click here for more information). These ingredients, while working via their own mechanisms of action, also work together to deliver comprehensive joint health support. All in a tasty and easy-to-deliver powder!
